ABOUT ME:
My name is Stephanie and I have absolutely loved animals my entire life. I worked at a zoo as a zookeeper for 6 years and left only because of moving to California. I worked directly and hands on with exotic birds, kangaroos, elephants, giraffe's, snow leopards, emu's, primates, porcupines, penguins, and many other different types of exotic small and large animals. I grew up with animals in my house my entire life. I've owned fish, turtles, guinea pigs, dogs, a squirrel, cats, hermit crabs, and birds.
I am mature, honest, prompt, and thorough. You will never be disappointed in my services. As my full time job, I work professionally as a caregiver and in-home support services for Autistic children and their families. I also work 1 day a week at a gym, working with children. But that does not mean I will not be able to care for your animals. My husband helps with jobs that require more time and I also have an employee who handles some of my clients. They are both mature and responsible people who know what they're doing and are comfortable around animals.

I have lifelong experience with common household pets and 6 years of extensive training, handling, and care experience with a long line of exotics. I will treat your animals as I would my own; like family, and your pets will be safe, happy, and healthy while you are away.

~Dog Walking~
This service is available on a daily, weekly, or as needed basis. This is at your animals pace from a slow walk to a jog. You will get a discount if you refer a neighbor to have their dog walked at the same time as yours!
Availability for dog walking is limited. Reservations are required for service.
Prices are generally $0.50/minute ($5/10 minutes) Dogs with behavior issues are subject to an increased price to compensate for the training needed to walk the dog safely.

~Pet Taxi~
This service is available at $20/hour from the time of pick up until return plus all milage at the rate of the standard $0.45/mile

~Pet Supplies~
This service is available at standard milage rates of $0.45/mile, plus the total amount of receipts, plus $15 per store.
The Pet Supplies service is for when you run out of supplies or are running low and your schedule doesn't allow you to get to the store. Milage is from my home to the store(s) and then from the store to your home.
Reservations highly recommended for service to be guaranteed.
~Overnight Sitting~
This is a service that is becoming more popular recently. It is especially popular for those with puppies who can't stay the night without a potty break, elderly animals who need the extra eye, or animals with separation anxiety issues when you are just going away for a night.
I will arrive at your house at 9pm and stay in your home until 7am the next morning (a total of 10 hours of constant care)
If you will be gone multiple nights and wish me to provide overnight care, you are required to purchase at least one visit per day in addition to the overnight care (for the safety and health of your animals) When purchased with overnight sitting, the day visit package of choice is offered at a discounted price.
Reservations required for service.
Overnight sitting is a flat fee of $65
~By the Hour "24/7" Care~
With this service, I will maintain my daily routine but live at your home while you are away. I will thoroughly document the time I walk in and out of your house (charged to the 1/4 hour) and live in your home caring for your animals and keeping them company whenever I am not working at another job. Please e-mail me for more details. Reservations are required 2 months in advance to avoid a rushing fee.
Cost is $10/scheduled hour between 7am-9pm. 9pm-7am is charged as an overnight sit ($65 for two animals).
~Intensive House Sitting 24/7 Care~
This is the most sought after service I provide. With this service, you literally get 24/7 care. Most other places state they offer 24/7 care but really provide less. Unless I need to go get food or toiletries or gas, I will not leave your home. In most cases, my husband is included in this service and will stay with me throughout the duration of the sit. He, however, will not be in the home 24/7 and will maintain a normal work schedule. Unless it is an emergency, I do my food, toiletries, or gas runs when he is at the home so your animals are not alone.
Reservations are required at least 10 weeks in advance due to my other work obligations. This gives me enough time to get the time off of work.1
The cost of this service is $150 for each 24 hours (That's only $6.25/hour!!). Half days are accessed only if you return home before 12 noon on that day. If you return home after 12 noon, you will be charged a full day. Please e-mail me for more information.
MILAGE FEES:
Milage fees are charged in the event that you live more than 10 miles (one way) from my home. (Miles over the 10 are charged)
They will also be charge in the event I have to travel more than 30 miles total in one day (for any miles over the 30 mark)
They will be charged the standard $0.45/mile and will be added to your total price.
METHODS OF PAYMENT:
Payments can be made in cash or cashier's check (or equivalent) ONLY.
Most banks will provide you with a free cashier's check.
Personal checks, credit cards, and all other forms of payment will NOT be accepted at this time.
HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION:

*Number of, species, and breeds of all animals in your home

I will return your e-mail with a quoted total price and answer any questions that you may have. We will schedule a free consultation with your family and to meet your animals. During this consultation I will access the behavior of your animals, go over the care required, any special needs, and discuss what the best packages for you I would recommend.
PAYMENT BREAKDOWN:
--Deposit in the amount of 20% of the total payment is due at the consultation and evaluation visit OR at the time you reserve your dates. NOTE: Your dates are NOT guaranteed unless you put down the deposit. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE in the result of a cancelation.
--40% of the total payment is due 2 weeks prior to the first day of service (1 month for intensive 24/7 care). The appointment to collect this payment will be made during the evaluation visit. This collection is 50% refundable if you cancel 7 days (2 weeks for intensive 24/7 care) or more from the first date of service. It is non-refundable if you cancel within 7 days of the first date of service (2 weeks for intensive 24/7 care).
--The remaining portion of the total payment (40%) is due 24 hours before the first date of service (3 days before 24/7 intensive care). I also require you to provide any keys and alarm codes for your home at this time. This payment is non-refundable.
HANDLING OF KEYS AND OBLIGATION OF ARRIVAL CALL:
--A key is required to be given to me when the second payment is made (2 weeks before service, 1 month for intensive 24/7 care).
--I will make a free follow-up appointment with you within 7 days of your return to return the key and tell you how the trip went.
--You are required to call me when you return home. If I do not hear from you, I will continue all regular visits and you will be charged for all visits (even if you are home when I arrive for a scheduled visit)

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION:

*Number of, species, and breeds of all animals in your home
*City of residence
*What services you would like
I will return your e-mail with a quoted total price and answer any questions that you may have. We will schedule a free consultation with your family and to meet your animals. During this consultation I will access the behavior of your animals, go over the care required, any special needs, and discuss what the best packages for you I would recommend.
PAYMENT BREAKDOWN:
--Deposit in the amount of 20% of the total payment is due at the consultation and evaluation visit OR at the time you reserve your dates. NOTE: Your dates are NOT guaranteed unless you put down the deposit. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE in the result of a cancelation.
--40% of the total payment is due 2 weeks prior to the first day of service (1 month for intensive 24/7 care). The appointment to collect this payment will be made during the evaluation visit. This collection is 50% refundable if you cancel 7 days (2 weeks for intensive 24/7 care) or more from the first date of service. It is non-refundable if you cancel within 7 days of the first date of service (2 weeks for intensive 24/7 care).
--The remaining portion of the total payment (40%) is due 24 hours before the first date of service (3 days before 24/7 intensive care). I also require you to provide any keys and alarm codes for your home at this time. This payment is non-refundable.
HANDLING OF KEYS AND OBLIGATION OF ARRIVAL CALL:
--A key is required to be given to me when the second payment is made (2 weeks before service, 1 month for intensive 24/7 care).
--I will make a free follow-up appointment with you within 7 days of your return to return the key and tell you how the trip went.
--You are required to call me when you return home. If I do not hear from you, I will continue all regular visits and you will be charged for all visits (even if you are home when I arrive for a scheduled visit)

Day for Kids Volunteer Opportunity (Oxnard, CA)
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme will be celebrating Day for Kids on Saturday, September 25th at the Martin V. Smith Youth Center in Oxnard, CA, and we need volunteers to help run the event. Volunteers will receive FREE lunch and an event T-shirt.
